Hey Gorgies!

Are you ready to elevate your skills and dive into the world of Calura Gloss Tips and Tricks from our Technical Advisors and fellow stylists??

We’ve got you!

With over 70+ shades available, there’s not a lot that Calura Gloss can’t do!

Each tone is calibrated at its own level, and there’s no background base to prevent true-to-tone results…Amazing right?!

So, we thought it was only fair to share our fave tips and tricks with you…

Firstly…We’re always asked what ‘process by eye’ means and how to tell when Calura Gloss is ready to be rinsed…

It’s easy once you get the hang of it! When toning porous hair, unless intense results are required, it’s usually ready to rinse after 5 minutes. (super speedy!)

If the hair is less porous, it can take anywhere from 5-10 minutes, and if full intensity is required, or you’re root melting/colour refreshing, it can be processed for the full 20 minutes!

When educating, we TAs always say: Think it’s ready??? Count to 20!

And we’re all guilty of rinsing prematurely and then wishing we’d left it on for longer! (we’re only human too!)

Now, let’s discover how to achieve that perfect shine and long-lasting colour while keeping your clients' locks healthy and vibrant. Whether you’re a seasoned stylist or just beginning your journey, these insights will help you master the art of glossy perfection!

Application Tips:

·        Tap the product, don’t drag, for full saturation!

·        Adding 25% of clear to your formula = 1 level lighter

·        Always account for mixers and clear in your final formula amount

·        Clear is your bestie when it comes to toning very porous hair, or can be used alone for shine and hydration. (We love it on our natural clients for that little boost!)

·        Application on dry hair = tone on tone, lowlights & darker results

·        Application on damp/towel-dried hair = more dilution (great for toning!)

·        You can add up to 25% of mixers to your gloss formulas for extra neutralisation or to intensify

·        Don’t Colour Lock before toning – this should always be the final step!

·        Porosity Equalizer can be used to prep your starting canvas with Calura Gloss

·        Adding 0-33/0-GG will achieve brighter/lighter toners as it reflects more light!

·        Adding 0-11/0-AA to lighter levels = stunning silver!
