Welcome to my very first blog. As a Technical Advisor and fellow Stylist, I know only too well how many hours we put in and how hard we work to give the very best to our clients, let alone looking after ourselves!

In a world where hair and scalp health are becoming increasingly popular, because we are all striving to focus on wellness and self-care, it can be a minefield to educate our clients on why they should consider a Bond Building treatment during their salon visits.

With so many options on the market, it’s time to work SMARTer, not harder!

Let me explain…

Your client comes in every 6-8 weeks for a cut & blow-dry, colour or blonding refresh, you use great quality products, protect the integrity of their hair, and they always comment at the end of every appointment: ‘it’s always so soft and shiny when you do it and it lasts for days!’ or ‘I wish it looked like this when I do it!’

The thing is, our clients will most probably and regularly fall for the never-ending fad trends and ‘products of the month’ they’ve seen on social media, or their friend is using, and of course, they all promise to deliver luscious locks that last. So why not make it simpler and offer something that actually works as well as being maintainable when they’re with you in the salon or at home?!

We’re talking all things smart…As a stylist who has abused their hair for many years, I, too, have begun my very own hair health journey, which has started by incorporating a stand-alone treatment and maintenance in between salon visits that has improved my hair no end!

Let me share what I’ve been doing and what I’ve been using, it’s as easy as 1,2,3,4!

Blacklight Bond Protection and Strengthening Concentrate (2) can be used as a stand-alone in-salon treatment during a cut and blow-dry service by using the SMART Pro Purifying Shampoo (1) first to cleanse the hair, using the pre-measured pump and water (warm or cold depending on how much you like your client!!) processing for 5 minutes and then applying directly on top the Smart Bond Builder & Repair Treatment (3) (featuring a 5 minute head massage and comb through that our clients love) and then rinsing thoroughly before applying a small amount of Hair & Scalp Oil (4) before cutting and styling.

So I’ve tried other brands before and have always found it a bore having to wait for the obligatory 10-15 minutes, which is one of the reasons why I love all things Smart.

This treatment INSTANTLY made my hair feel light yet conditioned, and I didn’t have to dread the brush being full of hair when combing through and styling!

To maintain the condition, I then use the Smart Bond Builder & Repair Treatment once every 2 weeks and let it do its thing for 5- 10 minutes, depending on how much of a rush I’m in!

And Voila! Healthy, happy hair that hasn’t taken me hours to achieve and is easy to keep up.
